New site protection capabilities!

Hello! Today, we are excited to announce the much-anticipated release of Site Protection with Team Login!

This new feature extends our existing site password protection capability by enabling customers on our Business plan and above to protect your sites and non-published deploys using your Netlify account login options, including your business’s SSO/SAML configuration.

Enabling the Team login protection option will require any visitor to the selected site context (all deploys or non-production deploys only) to use the login method that is configured at your account level, including their team email address and password, supported identity provider (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), or your custom Single sign-on configuration, to access them.

These site protection options can be set individually at the site level (under Site settings) or as a default for all sites at the team level (under Team settings).

Check out the docs for more information.
