We’ve been under some manner of DoS attack for 3 days now. Enough time to realise that Netlify provides absolutely ZERO ways to block this, seemingly because they want to make money???
All our sites have remained in the free/standard tier for years now, until our site, gilded-blini-81cb2d.netlify.app, started incurring bandwidth costs a few days ago. We’ve moved all heavy assets to a CDN and the attack continues, meaning they’re just hitting the site.
I’ve taken the site down on multiple occasions now - every time I bring it back up, the attack continues with absolutely nothing I can do.
@YShane It’s not ideal, and absolutely not a “switch it on” solution, but something you could try is implementing an Edge Function, as they suggest here:
If Netlify ultimately isn’t suitable, depending on how your site is built Cloudflare Pages may be an option.
Thanks for the response, Nathan. I don’t think going down that route is an option for the reasons you mentioned. I just don’t understand how netlify can have NO solution to this problem and still not respond to our support queries or even this thread? What are we supposed to do exactly?
Hi @YShane thanks for reaching out. I have escalated your query to our helpdesk and our team will follow up with you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
