Hello. I have a website that is already hosted (not on Netlify) and I would like to use netlify-cms so my client can update a JSON file. I use mellowswells.netlify.app as a place for my client to approve changes before i move the change to the hosted site. Is it possible to have my own domain and hosting elsewhere than netlify for production and be able to use netlify-cms?
Netlify CMS is now Decap CMS (see: [Support Guide] Understanding how DecapCMS (formerly NetlifyCMS) connects to your content on Netlify).
As for using Decap CMS without Netlify see the link in this post that may still hold relevance
