LetsEncrypt: domain doesn't appear to be served by Netlify

My site is jolly-nobel-5c783a.netlify.app. I am also on cloudflare as I am using two “Cloudflare tunnels” to access services on my server.

I want Netlify to just host my simple website: aglet.club & www.aglet.club.

Everything works but on my netifly dashboard and cannot renew my LetsEncrypt certificate.

I was having issues with warning on cloudflare so had to add and delete DNS records today. This has all been working fine for years but I broke something messing around this week. :frowning: Cloudflare DNS is below:

All appears ok on both websites but I cannot seem to renew my LetsEncrypt certificate.

I get " aglet.club doesn’t appear to be served by Netlify"

I can see by looking at the trouble shooting some potential issues. Perhaps All previous DNS settings must have their cache timeouts expired has not happened?

I also tried " You can attempt to accelerate cache expiration for your domains using the Flush Cache tool provided by Google Public DNS.

My http headers seem to indicate Netifly is the DNS. Does it have to do with the 301 errors showing up?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out and for these details! It looks like you have set up a Netlify DNS zone but are also trying to use external DNS – you’ll want to do only one. To continue using external DNS, you will want to delete the DNS zone here:

Once that is deleted, you should be able to regenerate SSL in the UI.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Many thanks! I have deleted that is instructed but I am still getting the same error?

Maybe I need to wait a bit? Thoughts? Thanks!

Hi, @TexasDave. The last attempt to provision SSL was on 2025-12-24 and that attempt was successful. The error being shown in the UI is a previous error but there is no error now. I have removed that stale error from the UI to prevent it from causing confusion regarding SSL provisioning going forward.

If there are other questions or concerns, please let us know.

That’s perfect - thanks!! I am not seeing the error any more - thank you!

I really appreciate the support we receive from the team. Happy 2025!
