Identity Invite Modal Not working

Hi there,

I’m having problems using netlify identity. A few months back I set up netlify identity in my react app, it worked great…

I was able to:

• Invite new users
• Allow new users to create a password
• Assign roles to new users

Now, although my existing users and roles are working, inviting new users is not.

If we invite a new user, although they receive the invite email including the correct url token (Maturity), they do not see the sign up modal, they just see the login modal.

We’re also now unable to choose existing roles for users in the UI.

@Laura_Bizzle I cannot answer your question, but fair warning as it’s something I’m aware of, Netlify are planning to deprecate Identity at some point:

I won’t recommend spending too long to solve this issue. As an inside note (which would be public someday), we’re moving to deprecate Identity. I believe it would still continue to work for existing users, but you can expect us to not provide any support for that feature. As for how to do what I suggested there, you can use Identity-triggered functions: Functions and Identity | Netlify Docs (the login event). It may not apply to you, since as mentioned above it will probably continue to work for existing users, but just something to be aware of when you’re considering investing time into it.
