How to create subdomain that points to a specific directory within my website?

Hi all,

I’m trying to set up a landing page that points towards my eightbranches.ca/landing/acupuncture route. The landing page URL/domain alias should be something like landing-acupuncture.eightbranches.ca.

I had previously tried to set this up via GoDaddy since that’s where the domain was purchased (where I set up a 301 subdomain redirect) but it unexpectedly re-assigned the DNS records to be managed by them and pulled my site down, which is why I’m looking for a Netlify-specific solution now.

Is this something I can configure within Netlify’s domain management by adding some sort of DNS record, and if so, is there a way to do this without downtime on my apex URL?

My Netlify site name is eight-branches.netlify.app, also hosted on eightbranches.ca and eightbranches.org (the primary apex domains).

Any guidance would be much appreciated, thank you.

Bump anyone? I’m still stuck on this and haven’t found a proper solution in the forums.

Hi @8B_Developer,

Based on the ticket in the helpdesk, it’s better to solve the domain collision problem before we try to solve the redirects. But if you directly want to jump on that, let us know and we can help accordingly.
