okay! stupid Q, but couldnt find a way to do this under preferences.
How does one turn off this current dark mode / theme on the Netlify Forums?

This is a great question. Thank you so much for bringing this up.
There is currently not a way to toggle between multiple themes, but we have an issue filed for this and our team is aware that having the option is very important! I will share your feedback with the team working on this.

I hope you are doing well! I wanted to follow up on your inquiry from a few months ago. You can now toggle between light mode and dark mode!
You can do this by going to your preferences and adjusting from there. Here is an image highlighting where preferences are.
