How can I find Authourative IP address?

I have migrated my hosting to netlify but still having problems when trying to receive any emails through my registrar web services emails . Now the the registrar is asking for an Authourative IP address which I can’t I find.

I would really appreciate your help or if you can at least assist me on where to find it.

Hi,

Please do not ask the same question on multiple platforms.

The answer you gave me over the email said I must continue with the conversation here and what you replied is not what I asked. I already have DNS mapped to netlify all I need is an authoritative IP so I can fix email deliverability with my domain registrar.

Could you provide your email service’s documentation link?

They don’t have any clear documentation but the following is what I got:

Hi Sandile,

This is an easy fix, provide us with your hosting provider’s Authourative IP address for your Webhosting space.

What you have previously provided us with the nameserver IPs:

dns4.p03.nsone.net <http://dns4.p03.nsone.net/>.
dns3.p03.nsone.net <http://dns3.p03.nsone.net/>
dns2.p03.nsone.net <http://dns2.p03.nsone.net/> -
dns1.p03.nsone.net <http://dns1.p03.nsone.net/> -

You can request the correct IP directly from your website host.

Alternatively, we can provide MX records that your website host can implement on their end.

Please advise how you would like to proceed?

Best regards,

 @Sands-45 , can you ask your email service provider for the MX records that you’ll need to configure in Netlify?

Alright no problem will do

@audrey and @hrishikesh Should I add the records myself or send them to you?

You can add the MX records using the steps in our docs on adding a new record: DNS records | Netlify Docs

I’m copy/pasting the steps here:

To add a new DNS record:

  1. Go to the Domains tab for your team.
  2. Select the domain you want to edit.
  3. At the bottom of the DNS records panel, select Add new record.
  4. Choose the type of record to create from the menu and fill in the remaining options. The fields you need to fill out will depend on the type of record you select.
  5. Select Save to create the record and make the changes live.

Remember, it may take up to a few hours for record changes to propagate.

Hope this helps!
