I’ve purchased a custom domain from Hostinger and subscribed to their webmail service as well. While I was successful in getting the email to work by adding the records to the domain via the Netlify DNS panel. The website itself still loaded their parking domain. Initially it was working when I added Netlify’s DNS servers to Hostinger’s nameservers but I think once I added the email records it stopped. I’ve read this article that says once you have a CNAME record, no other records can be added.
Is there a way to have a custom domain and email service from Hostinger and still use Netlify DNS? As of writing I deleted the DNS zone on Netlify.
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to Netlify’s Support Forums!
Could you tell us the site on Netlify that you’re having issues with? For example, sitename.netlify.app. Would it be possible for you to re-add the domain and setup the Netlify DNS so we can troubleshoot the issue?
I found this guide that should help with setting up Netlify name servers at Hostinger:
If you could give that a read.
Also, if you haven’t seen it we have a Support Guide here:
Thanks for getting back to me. This is the site name crafttedfoods.netlify.app. I have added the domain to Netlify DNS again. The Netlify domain works but my custom domain still loads Hostinger’s parked domain page.
I’m seeing the SSL certificate covering your custom domain, are you still having issues? If so, can you try opening the site in an incognito window to see if the issue persists?
Hi @sid.m and @Melvin. Thanks for the support on this so far! The domain loads with the HTTPS certificate - looks like it needed about a day or two. I will load the DNS records for the webmail service from Hostinger and update this post.
