I have a working sitemap via plugin at https://greenfieldrapper.netlify.app/sitemap.xml
Yet when I try to add it at https://search.google.com/search-console:

As far as I can see, the sitemap is a valid sitemap. Google will eventually read it. You need to give it time. Such errors are common on the Search Console.
Has google ever fetched the sitemap?
