Google authenticated user getting 500 response with no content

Thank you for trying that. We’ve asked the devs to take another look.

This should now be fixed for the deploy preview 15. Let us know once you test it so we can enable it across your site and the wide network.

It works! Thanks. Please deploy the solution. Can you let me know when is ready so I can re enable the affected user?

Glad to know this is solved. This should now be enabled for the whole site.

I think I have a similar issue. But I don’t understand how it was resolved. What can I do to make a Google user not fail with 500 with before even reaching the handler?

We need to enable the fix on a site-basis from our end. If you let us know the site, we can do that.

With that being said, Identity is deprecated and I’d advise moving away from it.

listen-to-this.netlify.app is the app as described in my own post: Internal Server Error 500 with no logs for new Netlify Identity account

How come it’s nowhere documented that identity is deprecated? (like in the documentation for identity for example: https://docs.netlify.com/security/secure-access-to-sites/identity/)

I wouldn’t have invested any time to use it if I knew this in the first place.

We’re waiting for some external things to make an official announcements, so consider this as a warning for the future coming soon deprecation.

With that being said, I have enabled the feature flag for you as well. You should be able to use the code-sample from the docs: Functions and Identity | Netlify Docs
