After build and deploy markdown files with Hugo, they are stored and generated into HTML inside public folder. How to download those HTML built result via mobile?
Hi, @BayuAngora, the download deploy button can be used for this.
There is more information in our public documentation here:
If there are other questions about this, please let us know.
Thanks, @luke. But that download button doesn’t working. I tried it via mobile Chrome. And I always got infinity load without any download.
hi @BayuAngora, first question - have you tried in an incognito window? I have heard that sometimes browser extensions can cause problems.
second question - is this a larger site? With large images or video? if yes, that might be why, but lets see if the incognito window trick works first.
It’s under 1mb zip website.

I tried to click download button from 5 different browsers and the result is same with infinity load without any download. Also Netlify Drop feature is unclickable from all mobile browser.
I’m able to download deploy zip files when I test with my mobile device. I’m not sure why it isn’t working and the video linked to doesn’t contain the information required to troubleshoot.
Are you able to download the deploy on a desktop or laptop device?
@luke I tried it from different devices, laptop, IP, etc. Still same result with infinity load without any download. I can’t sure if it happens to all accounts or just mine.
Hey BayuAngora, we are still troubleshooting this.
Can you try a thing: can you make a new deploy (maybe add a small dummy file?) and see if you can download that new deploy?
Another thing that would be useful for us - can you make a new site, maybe just with some test content, and see if you can download that? We are trying to understand whether this is deploy specific or not. thanks for your patience.
I tried it with another project from another temporary account. And it doesn’t works.
@BayuAngora, would you please send us a link to the deploy which cannot be downloaded? You can also just send the “deploy id” which is the last path segment in the URL.
By “last path segment”, I mean with this starting URL:
https://app.netlify.com/sites/example/deploys/5ee8ac300843827bf46feb8e
then the deploy id is 5ee8ac300843827bf46feb8e
.
You can private message (PM) that to one of our support staff if you prefer. I’ve confirmed that PMs are enabled for your community login. Note, that only one person can see the PM and this will likely mean a slower reply than posting the information publicly. Please feel free to reply to however you prefer though.
This is the deploy id ->
5eed408a9db0400008966520
Thanks! We are working with our team to try to understand why that is failing for you, since the size looks small to me too.
In the meantime, maybe we can make a copy of a deploy for you to share? we can’t do that frequently but we can do it for one.
Yes. Thanks for support.
Haven’t gotten a fix for the button yet, but I did manage to get a copy of your site downloaded and available for you to grab a copy of here:
I’ll DM you the password for that zipfile; please let me know when you have a copy so I can remove it from the server.
I got it. Please let me know if download button is fixed. Thanks.
Hey there! This bug is enqueued and we’ll update this post if/when we have something to share!
