My domain drductruong.com (site: gregarious-pastelito-cec644.netlify.app) has been pointed to Netlify’s nameservers (dns1-4.p09.nsone.net) at my registrar for several days now.
DNSChecker.org confirms 100% global propagation of the NS records — every server location shows resolved.
However, in Domain management, both drductruong.com and www.drductruong.com are still stuck on “Pending DNS verification”, and the SSL certificate is stuck on “Waiting on DNS propagation”.
When I tried “Set up Netlify DNS” to create a DNS zone, I got this error:
“A DNS zone for this domain already exists on NS1”
Could someone please help release/remove the orphaned DNS zone for drductruong.com so verification can complete?
Update: It has now been 10 days since I first posted this issue, with no response from the community forum.
I have since upgraded to the Personal plan specifically to get priority support for this issue, but I could not find a dedicated support ticket form — Netlify’s own AI assistant directed me back here to the forum, confirming that support staff can perform backend DNS zone refreshes from this channel.
Domain remains stuck on “Pending DNS verification”
SSL/TLS provisioning fails: “We could not provision a Let’s Encrypt certificate for your custom domain”
Removing and re-adding the custom domain does not help — it returns to “Pending DNS verification” immediately, with no propagation delay, suggesting a backend DNS zone conflict on NS1 rather than a client-side issue
Could someone from the Netlify team please check the backend DNS zone status for this site and clear any stale conflict? Happy to provide any additional diagnostic info needed.
