DNS problem, Site not found

Dear Forum Members,

I am having issues configuring my website with Netlify.

I cannot use Netifly custom DNS as my registrar will not allow me to do so.
I proceeded correctly to configure my registrar with an A record for apex domain pointing to 75.2.60.5 and a CNAME record for www pointing to santimaggiosavasta.netlify.app.

I am still receiving this error:

Site not found

Looks like you followed a broken link or entered a URL that doesn’t exist on Netlify.

If this is your site, and you weren’t expecting a 404 for this path, please visit Netlify’s “page not found” support guide for troubleshooting tips.

Netlify Internal ID: 01JSG51E90Y0ZFPP929E6Z4S7R

My domain is added in Netlify, but along with that I can see that there is a Dager Zone with the Delete DNS created.

If I delete them, my domain will disconnect from Netlify.
I aske the AI assitant and spent hours with it, and I searched all the possible solution in the support section and forum answers.

If I re associate the domain, there is no option to skip the creation of DNS, or no option to say that I will use my registrar.

I would welcome any suggestion.

Thank you in advance

Hello! Based on the DNS record you added pointing to 75.2.60.5, it looks like you’re using an external DNS to connect your domain to your Netlify site.

Just double-check in your Netlify account if the domain is actually set up and linked to your site. Here’s how you can check:

  1. Log in to Netlify
  2. Go to Sites
  3. Select your site > Domain management

If you don’t see your domain listed there, you’ll need to add it:

  • Click Add domain
  • Enter your primary domain (the APEX domain) and www.yourdomain.com

Hope this is helpful.

Dear Romeo,

Thank you for your kind reply.
My primary Domain (APEX domain) is listed under Domain Management.

Along with it, there are also the DNS of Netlify.
I read that having the Netlify Domain when you are trying to use your registrar DNS could potentially cause problems. However, I cannot delete these Netlify DNS from the Danger Zone: if I do so, my domain will also be disconnected.

I doulbe checked at my registrar and everything seems correct.

Also checking this:
Google Dig

It looks like it is working and it is pointing from my domain to the correct path to my website hosted on Netlify.

However, I am still getting the same result “Site nof found”.

If anyone could suggest what I am doing wrong I would really appreciate it.

Thnk you again.

Hello everyone,

I guess I found the culprit and the solution.

I had the Netlify DNS Active under Domain management>Production domain.
After I removed those, my website become accessible.

It was not easy to discover this as is not under the DNS Panel. I had to remove them from my custom domain settings inside Netlify.

Thank you for your precious support and kind help.
