Custom domain with Namecheap using Namecheap basic DNS

I want to configure a custom domain (manuela.dev) for my site (https://main--manueladev.netlify.app/).
I bought my domain in Namecheap, and I currently use Google Workspace with my custom domain.
In order to configure Google Workspace I need to add some custom configurations (see screenshot below)

According to the documentation, to configure the custom domain, in Namecheap, I need to switch from “namecheap basic DNS” to “Custom DNS”, but if I do this, I would lose the ability to configure my custom email

“You can manage mail settings in your cPanel account, or transfer DNS back to Namecheap BasicDNS to manage the records here. [Change DNS Type](Namecheap.com • Login” (already tried the cPanel option, but since I don’t have hosting plans with Namecheap, I don’t have that option)

Is there any way to configure my custom domain with the “Namecheap basic DNS” config?

This is not correct. You can use external DNS configuration.

This is also not correct. You would add these records to Netlify DNS. Read

Instead of the simple Gmail configuration available in Namecheap, you would need to configure the MX records. Read: Google Workspace MX record values - Google Workspace Admin Help

And it would appear you have successfully configured Netlify DNS after all that.

Hi, @ManuCastrillonM. I would say to not use Netlify DNS in this case:

So, do not use those instructions above.

Instead, use the external DNS instructions below:

If you do that, your existing email service will work and you don’t need to make any new records at Netlify.

@ManuCastrillonM Were you able to figure this out?
