Created a site with previously used custom domain, DNS servers not connecting

Hello, I have recreated a site on Netlify and did not change any of the configurations that I had linked with my hosting provider (Hover). Here is a retro of what I have done.

  1. Bought a domain through hover
  2. Hosted with Netlify and connected by GitHub repository
  3. Took the DNS servers from Netlify and put them into Hover
  4. The site was hosted - good!
  5. I deleted the site from Netlify - the site is no longer hosted
  6. Re-created the site in Netlify
  7. Tried to add the domain, expecting the DNS would connect after 24hrs (DNS servers are already connected from step 3)
  8. The site will not load
