  • yes, we talked to Ask Netlify, did not help

We have an issue with the certificate renewal after an alias got removed.

Currently, we have only these aliases:

SSL Certificate dialog still shows old aliases and that leads to an error on renewing:

“There are too many certificate creation with this site recently. Please try again later.”

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

The issue got resolved automatically.

What we did:

  • removed a domain alias
  • waited for “renew certificate” button to appear
  • waited for letsencrypt rate limiting to allow us to renew certificate
  • renewed certificate

It took us about 20-30 mins overall, we just needed to wait a bit on each step.

I’m facing a similar issue, but for me it seems to be related to the wildcard domain added by Netlify.
