All sign-ups with netlify-identity-widget now fail

Context: Sign-ups fail trying to call identity-signup lambda function

Hi,

We recently noticed that users are not able to sign-up on the admin page of our site (https://be-web.netlify.com/admin). Existing users are able to login fine. It’s when a new user attempt to sign-up that they get this error:

I don’t understand why the netlify-identity-widget isn’t able to connect to our lambda function. This appears to have started recently, but I can’t provide a timeframe because I don’t see anything in the logs to tie it to. None of the code around this functionality has been changed for a year or more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the interim, I moved the indentity-signup.js file to a subfolder so it will not be called during signup. This is to allow new users to create an account and use the system until this is resolved.

We need the issue to be live to check it.

Unfortunately, we can’t afford to have any more down time with the identity signup. If you’re not able to check it any other way, I guess we can just close out the request?
