After changing the DNS settings still getting redirected to old hosting

Hello there!

I recenlty signed up Netlify PRO plan for hosting my blog.
Currenlty I am hosting my blogs on Sitegroud using wordpress.

Problem - After following all the migration instruction I am still getting redirected to my old webpages hosted on siteground.

During this migration i am also switching to the new theme so I can easily see the difference once i access my domain.

Here is screenshot which i do not expect - I am always getting redirected to this page.

Can anyone tell me the problem where, why i am still getting redirected to old hosting page ?

I still have one more blog to move but this is making me scared because my other blog is having hight traffic volume and I do not want any downtime

PS - I am using paid PRO tier of Netlify

Hi, @rahul.wagh17. It is hard to say without more information.

My best guess without more information is that either a service worker or time to live (TTL) issues are the root cause.

With some additional details, we should be able to find the root cause.

For example, would you please send us the x-nf-request-id response header for the incorrect page?

There more information about this header here:

If that header isn’t available for any reason, please send the information it replaces (or as many of these details as possible). Those details are:

  • the complete URL requested
  • the IP address for the system making the request
  • the IP address that responded
  • the day of the request
  • the time of the request
  • the timezone the time is in

If there are other questions for us, please let us know.

Thanks @luke for the reply.

I think I am no longer getting the old webpage for my domain but it would be nice if you can check at your end (Screenshot would work:slight_smile: )

Here is the screenshot of my another website which I migrated and i am still facing the same issue

The domain is -

The site on netlify is -

Hi, @rahul.wagh17, here is my screenshot:

This shows a server: Netlify header and an x-nf-request-id header. Both help to prove this response came from Netlify. (The red lines where things didn’t load are because of NoScript, not because of anything wrong with the site.)

For your page load, the request didn’t come from Netlify, this can be seen in the following details:

It appears when you tested the DNS sent you somewhere other than Netlify.

The IP address which responded would also prove where the response did come from but you didn’t include that information. This looks like a DNS issue but I’d need more information to say for sure.
