Website domain from Webflow is not connecting to the Netlify

Hi @hrishikesh, need your help please

So the website itself is working fine on its primary domain(https://www.getproductpeople.com/) but the other domains that were set on netlify are broken which includes few of these: https://productpeople.wiki/, https://productpeople.wiki/, https://productpeople.wiki/ etc.

What would you recommend in this case?

All of those seem to be working fine for me. Has something changed?

@hrishikesh, they have started working when we remove one of them from netlify but we are facing the same issue that we faced before. Our website is showing an old version and has some broken links.

Do you think I should remove netlify name servers from namecheap and add all the netlify dns records to namecheap?

Remove one of them? Which one?

Broken links and older version sounds like a totally different issue.

@hrishikesh We just removed productpeople.wiki because it had fewer dns records and redirected it to the primary domain(getproductpeople.com) in Namecheap.

But now our main domain is showing an older version of the website just like it did before and you resolved it by removing netlify records at your end.

I’d really like to ask you to move your domains away from Netlify, @mashall. Your setup is clearly causing problems to you, and it’s also getting difficult for us to understand your usage and support it. For example, I had to go through this 25+ message thread just to completely remember what you were doing and at what stage I had left it the last time. I think it’s worth taking an hour or two from your day to migrate your DNS settings from Netlify to Namecheap. This would be beneficial in the long run.

You’re not hosting your sites on Netlify, nor have you purchased the domain from Netlify. so Netlify should not be involved any way with your website. These redundant DNS zones are not doing any good to anyone.

Anyways, for now, please delete these 2 records:

It took exactly two hours to move everything, @hrishikesh like you said. Everything seems to be working fine now. Thank you for your support!

YAY @mashall :wave:t6: , thanks so much for letting the team know you were able to get this resolved! (:

@SamO @hrishikesh just one last request. Could you please check if the dns records are deleted at your end?

We have correctly set all our records in Namecheap and have deleted DNS zones from Netlify but we are facing “server cannot be found” issue sometimes. Could be that there are some traces left in Netlify? Can you please check on your side? :sob:

Hi @mashall , I can confirm the DNS zone for getproductpeople.com has been removed along with the records. Additionally, your name servers are no longer pointing at Netlify:

% whois getproductpeople.com | grep "Name Server"
 Name Server: PDNS1.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM
 Name Server: PDNS2.REGISTRAR-SERVERS.COM

You will need to work with your hosting provider to troubleshoot the “server cannot be found” error.

Hope that helps!
