I’m trying to add a custom domain, and whenever I try to verify it, a error comes up with:
custom_domain is owned by the other account
I bought a domain from Namecheap and added the DNS needed, however it still does not work.
It sounds like the domain name was formerly owned by someone else, who set it up at netlify. I think you have to get netlify engineers to fix this for you.
How can I get in contact with one? I’ve emailed them, but haven’t received an answer yet.

as per our Netlify Pricing and Plans page, customers who are using our services for free are welcome to post in these support forums (which are staffed by support engineers, and helpful community members such as @bolaurent), but for issues such as these, we may need go move this ticket to the helpdesk, yes.
Before we do so, we need to know your netlify site name and also the domain name that you are trying to attach it to. thanks.
That domain name formerly (2017) had a robots.txt file, and that’s all.
My netlify is: http://annyup.netlify.com/ and the domain I’m trying to attach is annyup.com
Hi, @annyup, that domain had been configured on a now cancelled account. That DNS zone configuration has been deleted now. Would you please try adding that domain to your Netlify site again now?

I am trying to connect my custom domain onnoff.xyz to my current Netlify site:
https://dulcet-lily-871627.netlify.app/
However, I cannot add the domain because Netlify indicates that onnoff.xyz or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.
I no longer have access to the previous Netlify account/team that managed this domain, so I cannot remove the old DNS zone myself.
I am the rightful owner/controller of onnoff.xyz, and I can verify ownership via TXT record or any other verification method you require.
Please release/remove the old Netlify DNS zone or previous team association for onnoff.xyz so I can connect it to my current Netlify project.
For reference, I can provide screenshots of the Netlify error and my registrar/DNS settings if needed.
