I’m trying to get SSL provisioned for my custom domain and it’s been stuck for over 24 hours despite everything checking out on my end.
Site name: comforting-sunflower-38a6ee
Custom domain: thereactivation.co.uk
DNS provider: Netlify DNS (nameservers switched from 123-reg)
What I’ve checked/confirmed:
• Both thereactivation.co.uk and www.thereactivation.co.uk show green “Netlify DNS” verification in Domain management
• Clicking “Retry DNS verification” under HTTPS consistently returns “DNS verification was successful”
• Ran a global NS propagation check — all locations now show Netlify’s nameservers (dns1-4.p01.nsone.net) correctly
• Ran a CAA record check — no CAA records exist anywhere, so nothing is blocking Let’s Encrypt
• I had an old DS record (DNSSEC) at my registrar which I identified and deleted a while back, in case that was the original blocker
The problem:
Despite all of the above, the site is still serving Netlify’s shared wildcard certificate (*.netlify.app, issued by DigiCert) instead of a dedicated Let’s Encrypt certificate for my domain. Visiting the site over HTTPS shows a “connection not private / certificate mismatch” warning.
The HTTPS section still shows “Waiting on DNS propagation” even though DNS verification succeeds every time I retry it.
Could someone take a look at my account and manually re-trigger certificate provisioning, or let me know if something else is blocking it? Happy to provide any further details needed.
