Setting up domain with forward slash /

Hi!

Apologies if this has already been documented elsewhere, but I could not find the solution to it after searching around the Netlify documentation and forum.

I have bought a domain from Google Domains and have successfully connected this to my Netlify site.

What I want to do now is to set up the Netlify site in such a way that it comes after a forward slash / in my domain.
Right now if I go to www.mydomain.com I see my site deployed from Netlify, but I wish to have it so that it becomes www.mydomain.com/mynetlifysite. Is there a way I can do this?

I am not 100% sure about the terminology here, so is this called a subdomain or is it something else?

Subdomain would be mynetlifysite.mydomain.com and I’d personally recommend that approach. But, if you absolutely want to use it the way you’re describing, you’d have to setup an external server that would proxy to Netlify and show the contents there. This comes with major caveats like these:
