Semrush shows a warning of thousands of our pages JS/CSS not being compressed. They claim domain/.netlify/scripts/rum has no ‘Content-Encoding’ element in the response header.
“The ‘uncompressed JavaScript and CSS files’ issue is triggered if the Content-Encoding entity is not present in the URL response header. Page compression is essential to the process of optimizing your website. Using uncompressed resources leads to a slower page load time, resulting in a poor user experience and a lower search engine ranking.” , says Semrush.
It’s supposed to look like this:
" Also, please note that we don’t support the compress format, as it is rarely used by browsers, and a custom header value of x-goog-stored-content-encoding is ignored.
Reference: https://cloud.google.com/storage/docs/xml-api/reference-headers.", says Semrush.
Is this something netlify could change in the real user metrics file? or how to prevent the warning showing up?
Thanks for your help.
