Request to manually verify domain ownership

Hello! I am trying to add a domain that I own to a Netlify site, but I am getting an error that the domain has been used by another account. I have no idea who owns the other account and don’t have a way to reach them, it must have been a previous owner of the domain.

I searched around and found this post telling me to start a topic here. I would love to go through the manual domain verification process to be able to put this domain live.

My Netlify domain is: phlote.netlify.app
The domain I am trying to add is: phlote.xyz
