Remove old netlify project from GitHub repo

Hi! My GitHub repository https://github.com/Microsoft-community/Community-website is linked to both msft-chat.netlify.chat (old) and msftcommunity.netlify.app (new) - I don’t have access to msft-chat.netlify.chat and it is no longer in use so could it be unlinked?

Like was done here:

Hey there,

Welcome to the Netlify Forums and thanks so much for reaching out! You should be able to unlink your github repo in your UI now, which was not the case previously when those threads were opened!

Can you try the following steps for me once more:

  1. Unlink the account here: Netlify App .
  2. Log out of the wrong github account on the github site
  3. Log in to the correct github account
  4. Once active in the correct account, link again

Let me know if that works!

Hi Sam, sorry for the late response the notification email went to my spam folder.

I’m not sure how this advice helps, since as I mentioned I do not have access to the extra Netlify project that the repo is also linked to as well as my own, which was the case in the linked thread as well. Removing the Github link from my project and re adding it doesnt do anything to help since the old project is still linked to the repository and I still get duplicated preview events.

To be completely clear: there is only one GitHub repository and organisation. There are two Netlify projects, one which I do not own.

I’ve unlinked the old site from the repo.
