I am struggling to connect my custom domain. It was bought through 123-reg and I need tio know what DNS settings I should add?

Yes I have, but it is still not entirely clear. From what I read it seems the only option is to use an A record pointing to the apex domain. Flattebning cname is confusing. All I want to know is exactly which records to add e.g. do I just add the A record or do IO have to add a cname record aswell.
