I was wondering how to access the metrics data? I would like to create a “Most Popular Articles” component for the article component. Can I access the data through the API or automatically export the data somehow?

You can access the metrics data through the API. This data can be pulled from Google Analytics both at the page level as well as for specific sections.
To access your analytics data, you would ideally use a tool that provides an online API for getting report data, such as Google Analytics Data API or Adobe Analytics Reporting API.
