Hello! So I’ve tried setting up my custom domain but keep getting errors on the HTTPS side. I’ve followed the directions, but can’t quite figure out what’s missing in the process. The error I get is:
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
I’m also using google domains, if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Oh also, my domain is: robsoule.com
Hi, @rsoule, and welcome to the Netlify community site.
The issue was likely the same one being discussed in the community topic here. Quoting:
Generally, the reason we are unable to provide a complete SSL certificate for your custom domain is that the DNS (Domain Name System) cache timeout or TTL(Time To Live) for a record had not had time to expire (from your old settings) before you tried to use it with Netlify.
I clicked the “Renew certificate” button found at “Site Name” > Settings > Domain management > HTTPS and this appears to have resolved the issue.
If there are other questions or concerns, please let us know.
