Enable Lighthouse Score Visualizations in Labs!

Today we’re excited to announce our latest Labs feature to accompany the Lighthouse build plugin: Lighthouse Score Visualizations!

When you install the Lighthouse Build Plugin on your site and enable this experimental feature, you can view the Lighthouse scores for each of your builds on your site’s Deploy Details page with a much richer format.

If you have multiple audits (directories, paths, etc) defined in your build, we will display a roll-up of the average Lighthouse scores for all the current build’s audits plus the results for each individual audit.

Some items of note:

  • The Lighthouse Build Plugin must be installed on your site(s) in order for these score visualizations to be displayed.
  • This Labs feature is currently only enabled at the user-level, so it will need to be enabled for each individual team member that wishes to see the Lighthouse scores displayed.

We have a lot planned for this feature and will be adding functionality regularly, but we’d also love to hear your thoughts. Please share your feedback about this experimental feature and tell us what you think.

Hello, folks!

Just a quick note to let you know that we’ve added a bit more functionality to the Lighthouse Score Visualization Labs feature! Starting now, if your team is on a Pro plan or higher, you will be able to see how your Lighthouse scores have evolved across the previous deploys of your site in the Deploy List.

As previously mentioned, Lighthouse build plugin and Lighthouse Score Visualization Labs feature enablement are required to see these scores in the UI.

More additions to come. In the meantime, please share your feedback about this experimental feature and let us know what you think!

I’ve installed the Lighthouse build plugin but can’t see anything in my Netlify Labs to enable the score visualization. Am I doing something wrong?

Please share the site name.

physichemically, for example. I’ve also installed it in fisiquimicamente and fisiquimicament.

At least for the first site, you’re using Node 12: Netlify App

So the plugin is actually not running: Netlify App

as it needs Node 14 minimum.

Thanks, @hrishikesh. Didn’t know about the minimum Node version. I’ll specify it in my netlify.toml file. Thanks!

I updated my Node version to the latest one but the plugin still seems to not be running

What do you mean by not running? Are there errors in your deploy? console? more specifics will be helpful

This is my latest deploy log. I see nothing related to the plugin. I can’t activate either the option to show the results in my deploy summary (labs).

Just to be clear, @SamO, Netlify says that the plugin ran successfully, but I can’t see any results :man_shrugging:

I installed the plugin via the netlify.toml file and now it’s working properly.

Thanks for confirming and sharing your solution!
