Netlify site name: kayungacommunityclubapp.netlify.app
Custom domain: kayungacommunityclub.org
Issue: My domain expired on May 19, 2025 (2 months ago) and I’m unable to enable auto-renewal. The domain was originally registered through Netlify on May 19, 2021.
Current domain status in dashboard:
- kayungacommunityclub.org
- Registered through Netlify on May 19, 2021 (4 years ago)
- Expired on May 19 (2 months ago)
- Shows “Enable auto-renewal for $19.99/year”
Error message: When I click “Enable auto-renewal,” I get the error: “Domain cannot be auto-renewed within 24 hours of expiration”
Additional details:
- The domain is still visible in my Netlify dashboard even after I deleted the DNS records
- It’s been 2 months since expiration, not 24 hours, so this error message seems incorrect for my situation
Question: How can I renew this expired domain that’s been expired for 2 months? The auto-renewal process isn’t working due to the error message, but the 24-hour limitation shouldn’t apply after this much time has passed.
Have you tried Ask Netlify? YES but no response yet
Any guidance on resolving this renewal issue would be greatly appreciated!
