DNS Settings with Domain Email Addresses

Hi team,

My clients would like to keep their email addresses which they’re paying for through their domain - I understand this means I can’t switch their nameservers to Netlify.

However, when it comes to trying to add CNAME or the a records as per the Netlify instructions, I can’t do this on GoDaddy, Google Domains or through LCN (another small hosting provider).

I hope you can help.

Which provider does the client currently have their DNS with?

I don’t use GoDaddy or Google Domains, but you should find a “managed DNS” settings page on either that will allow you to configure the A Record and CNAME Record for External DNS. You may need to contact their support to find the settings.
