DNS record still exists after removing domain

After removing the custom domain of my netlify site I can’t add a new A record in the DNS panel because the previous record still exists.
Netlify site name: peaceful-engelbart-78fa2d.netlify.com

Could the old uitspraken.jwbaart.dev DNS record be deleted?

Hey @jwbaart,
We have just flipped the bit to enable you to delete that record. The reason we don’t by default is because we don’t want people to unintentionally take down their sites, so please make sure you have your other records in place before deleting! Let us know if you need anything else.

Hey! I’m having similar issues. I created a site using netlify but now I’m trying other service. After deleting the site, the DNS entries of the old site ( peaceful-wozniak-364496.netlify.app) still show and I can’t remove those. What could I do?

I’m made all the NETLIFY/NETLIFYv6 type records deletable for that custom domain now.
