Deployment via CLI does not work anymore

Almost exactly 3 years ago, I posted a beginner’s HowTo deploy via CLI.

Some month later, I had to reinstall Windows and then added a description in above thread for what to do if the NodeJs environment variable is missing.

Three weeks ago, I got a new laptop and followed my steps of the beginner’s HowTo. Unfortunatelly, I cannot deploy via console. When I exceute
netlify deploy -p --dir=/Users/.../publish/wwwroot --site=beautiful-uploader-234269
(of course with my site name), I only get the error

Netlify Build
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Version
@netlify/build 33.5.0

Flags
{}

Configuration error
────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────

Error message
Failed retrieving site data for site [my site name]: Not Found. Double-check your login status with ‘netlify status’ or contact support with details of your error.

netlify status returns my credentials, so it looks like everything is fine.

Any idea what’s wrong?

Above is in parts a copy of my latest post in the older thread, but I got no answer and I really need support. Currently, the only way to deploy, is manually in my Netlify account. There, drag and drop does not work, but only browsing to the folder…

Thanks!

Philipp

The issue still persists. Please! I need help!

This took the support and me a while, but in the end the fix is pretty simple (of course):

For some reason--site=beautiful-uploader-234269 does not work anymore. I replaced it with --site=<enter your Project ID also known as Site ID here>

Thanks again.
