Custom Nameservers / Cloudflare DNS Support

Hi Netlify Support,

I registered my domain directly through Netlify and would like to use Cloudflare for DNS management and protection (including DDoS mitigation and WAF). I understand that previously, Netlify Domains did not support changing nameservers.

Could you please confirm whether it’s now possible to set custom nameservers for domains registered with Netlify? If not, is there a recommended way to use Cloudflare with a domain managed by Netlify, or would transferring the domain to another registrar be the only option?

If you’d like to update the nameservers, we can transfer the domain to your control at name.com. Please let us know if that’s something you’d like to proceed with and we can route your request to our helpdesk.
