Creating a website in order to use Netlify visual editor

Hi Netlfiy Forums,

I hope I’m missing something obvious here but I want to create a website using the netlify visual editor.

My understanding from the guides is that I have to:

  1. Go to my Projects
  2. “Add new Project”
  3. “Create from a template”

Then once I go thought at creation I should be able to open in it the Netlify create.

The problem is that there is no “Create from a template” option, only a bring manually or using an AI agent. Creating a website with an AI agent doesn’t let me it seem to also considering this as a manual deploy.

Is this still an option? I’m specifically trying to us/test netlify’s visual editor to see if it’s a reasonable alternative to sqaurespace/wordpress. But is this something that Netlify is dropping in favour of AI tooling?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul
