Can't change "api" subdomain because it says it's a system record

I have the same issue described here Can't edit the value of a DNS record of a domain managed by Netlify DNS

I cannot delete the api. subdomain because it says “it’s a system record”. Why did Netlify create this subdomain automatically? How can I delete it?

hey @leonardosnt - we have flipped a switch on our end that allows you to delete that record now if you would like!
