Send a receipt to user that made a submission to Netlify Forms

Hi there! I was wondering if it is possible or if anyone has any experience in setting up a Netlify Forms Notification to send a receipt to the user that made the submission in addition to a regular notification email? If this is doable with a Netlify Function, can anyone give me any guidance or point me in the right direction?

I am currently trying this on bcp22.netlify.app which right now is just a hello world and a basic test with Sanity.io. I’m trying to figure out if Netlify Forms will be the right solution for this project.

Technically yes but I am stuck that for me it works locally ok but not online so I am searching for clues here :frowning:

The notifications are easy but the functions are the tricky ones. I had to create it locally for it to be recognised by Netlify, e.g. netlify function:create contact
