Post-processing / forms processing is timing out

Since early this morning every build gets stuck for 15 minutes during forms processing and times out. We can no longer deploy our site. I can’t disable forms processing, we are relying on netlify-forms.

I need at least a workaround… if it’s the forms detection process that’s taking too long due to the large number of files on our site, is there a way to set this up via config inside a full site scan?

We’re completely stuck right now.

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear about this issue. Could you let us know the site name (such as sitename.netlify.app)? We can then increase the post processing time for your builds.

The site name is oceg-web-site. I found how to increase build timeouts using the CLI, so I set that to 30 minutes, that seemed to help.

It seems crazy though that forms post-processing would take 15 minutes when our build + deploy takes a total of 5 minutes. Is there anything we can do to speed this up? Deployments show 8,000 assets being uploaded but we only have about 20-30 forms total.

The 8000 files have nothing to do with forms. The more the number of HTML files, the more time would be spent processing those. We need to read each and every HTML file, parse it, extract the form data. We don’t know if you have forms only on 20 pages or all pages, so that’s what’s causing issues here.

Would be great if there is an option to skip automatic detection and to manually specify the HTML pages where the forms are located.
