I’ve read that the best practice is to have different names for each form on a site. What if the form is repeated on multiple pages and should all go to a central location? An example would be a simple newsletter signup with an email address that is on multiple pages. Is this possible or will it cause problems?
Only use forms of the same name if they have the exact same fields, otherwise use different names. It’s fine to use a newsletter signup with the same fields and name across multiple pages.
