When I post this link on LinkedIn the thumbnail image on LinkedIn is my thumbnail photo towards the bottom left. I don’t like this and want the thumbnail image to be the top section. How to change this?
Hi @gtrman97
Not sure exactly how LinkedIn handle things, but likely using Open Graph meta tags will possibly fix the issue. Similar thing exists for twitter too
So I will have to change my meta tags in my html project file to change it?
Yes.
Here’s a post I just found on LinkedIn about this very subject
I’ll admit it, I judge books by their covers. I don’t mean that metaphorically; literally, if you show me a book that doesn’t give me any context as to what it’s about, I won’t “try it out” for 5 pages to see if it’s worth reading.
Ok well I added this line with url in the content property but I still get the same snapshot as before on LinkedIn:
<meta prefix="og: http://ogp.me/ns#" property="og:image" content="https://images.pexels.com/photos/401213/pexels-photo-401213.jpeg?auto=compress&cs=tinysrgb&dpr=3&h=750&w=1260" />
I see the correct thing:
If you’re still facing problems, I suppose you should ask LinkedIn for help.
