Err::aborted 404 for Font Awesome assets [React storybook]

I am trying to run a react + storybook on netlify. Everything works great, but my fontawesome assets are not loading. I get the following network error:

GET https://****.netlify.com/static/css/static/media/fa-solid-900.bea989e8.woff net::ERR_ABORTED 404

Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone in the future. After a day of banging my head against the wall I managed to get my private module working with Netlify by adding curly brackets around the token in .npmrc as outlined in the original post, eg. authToken=${FONTAWESOME_NPM_AUTH_TOKEN} Unfortunately the curly brackets prevent yarn from accessing the env variable when working locally, bit of a pain but I just need to remember to add them in before any commits.
