Hello!
My netlify domain name is - vividtime.netlify.app
I’ve setup a custom domain - vividtime.app - and proper redirects via netlify.toml file.
In google everything is indexed correctly, and shows my custom domain - https://vividtime.app, but on Bing and Yahoo I see vividtime.netlify.app as the search result.
Can you please advise on how this can be resolved? Maybe you can help with requesting of reindexing of this subdomain? Maybe I did something wrong in the netlify.toml? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
ps Happy New Year!!!
You should redirect the domain if you want to: Redirect options | Netlify Docs
I did that long time ago. Nevertheless, Bing and Yahoo still show vividtime.netlify.app in their search results. You can check by going to https://vividtime.netlify.app . it successfully redirects to https://vividtime.app . I just do not know how to fix the Bing and Yahoo index or how to make them reindex or maybe delete https://vividtime.netlify.app from their index .
the problem is that indexed domain is a subdomain of netlify. I am talking about vividtime.netlify.app. I don’t own the netlify.app domain, so I can’t prove ownership of it. so, I can’t use any bing webmaster tools.
You can always verify subdomains and add them to your webmaster tools. It supports uploading a HTML file if I recall correctly.
thank you. its strange, but I have a lot of options now to choose from in bing webmaster tools. I mean options for proving subdomain ownership. everything worked! thank you again!
