ADD TXT Record with SPF Value for MailerLite

Domain: Cannabisconn.com
Hey,

I am having trouble authenticating my sender domain with MailerLite. I have added records to Netlify DNS but MailerLite keeps saying authentication failed, so I reached out to MailerLite at which point I provided DNS Records and the following response was provided to me from MailerLite: "The issue here, is that I see that the values have been entered exactly as they were given and the only differential factor is that your hosting provider adds the SPF values as SPF-type and we do it via TXT also, our value is simply not being propagated by your hosting provider.

Having this in mind, I would recommend contacting your hosting provider support so we can get a better idea of how the records should be added and if they have any restriction with SPF-TXT records, as is the only thing I am thinking of could be restricting our values."

MailerLite Error:
SenderID/SPF records were not found. Make sure you have added them.

Current Domain Settings
SPF
v=spf1 include:_spf.firebasemail.com include:_spf.google.com ~all
TXT
v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.mlsend.com ?all

*I did try to combine records and had no luck, see below:
v=spf1 a mx
include:[spf.mlsend.com]
include:
[spf.firebasemail.com]
include:_[spf.google.com]
~all

Current DNS Settings

Without this Authentication when I use MailerLite is gives a warning to the receiving party prior to opening the email :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Thanks for the support friends!

Did you try deleting that record and add it again as TXT? We don’t automatically change the record type, so if you selected SPF when setting the record, we’d save it as SPF and if you chose TXT, we’d save it as TXT.

Yes, current settings are as follows:
SPF
v=spf1 include:_spf.firebasemail.com include:_spf.google.com ~all
TXT
v=spf1 a mx include:_spf.mlsend.com ?all

The TXT record is the Mailerlite value which is not propagating

Still Getting an error on Mailerlite which says: SenderID/SPF records were not found. Make sure you have added them. Also giving ample time before attempting to authenticate on Mailerlite.

Hi, @CannabisConnection. There were multiple TXT type DNS records not working. I have re-saved all the DNS records that were not working and they all appear to be working again now.

If this happens again, the solution is to delete the non-working DNS record and re-enter it. That will resolve the issue 99% of the time and, if not, please let us know with a post here. Again, though, that should not be required at the moment as I believe all the DNS records are working correctly now.

Hey @luke thanks for the reply, so I got multiple error emails this morning see below

Maybe the user was submitting a request as the values were propagating?

As for the Mailerlite Authentication everything seems to be connected THANK YOU :slight_smile:

Hi, @CannabisConnection. I do not have enough information to determine what is happening in the email system. We can troubleshoot the DNS itself but we have no access to the email service to troubleshoot it.

So, if the email service is reporting that any of the DNS records are incorrect, we will be happy to look into that. If so, please let us know.

Thank you for the support Friends!!
