A workaround of StaticQuery in a CMS widget

Hey there,
Since StaticQuery doesn’t run on the widget component. I’m looking for a workaround to get a field’s value form allMarkdownRemark (all posts in markdown format)

Current query:

        query ArticleByAuthor {
          allMarkdownRemark(
            filter: { frontmatter: { campaign: { ne: null } } }
          ) {
            edges {
              node {
                fields {
                  slug
                }
                frontmatter {
                  title
                  author
                }
              }
            }
          }
        }
      `

The goal is to list all the articles written by an author as a list, in a custom widget component.
