502 Bad Gateway error when submitting forms after deployment

Hey there! This is quite possibly due to a timeout, similarly to this:

Function only returns 502

I previously had one function, a simple contact form that sends an email. It worked perfectly fine since initial deployment several months ago. Today I’ve added a new function, which is exactly the same – just sends an email. I also took the time to convert to using environment variables. I have it working with netlify dev and it pulls the env correctly from my linked account. Both functions work locally.
