How to point my index.html file from the subfolder?

My index.html file is under the folder named template and I can’t take out of the folder it will disrupt my code. It is showing page not found . How to point my index.html file from inside the subfolder?

From the look of the repository, the site isn’t a static site, rather uses Flask to serve pages. This is not compatible with Netlify as outlined in this support guide
