Out of the blue my application has gone from using 50% of the 125,000 free requests (with no surge in traffic) to only 4k left, my usage period is Aug 13 to Sep 13, does this mean i have until the end of today (12th) or does this encapsulate the 13th? At the current rate if it bleeds into the 13th i’ll reach the cap and presumably it’ll push me onto the next tier.
If i go onto the next tier will i literally be paying $25 for a single day and go back to the free tier on the 14th?
Hi there, thanks for your question! I see you wrote the dates as the 13th to 13th of the months – if you go to your Billing tab you should be able to see your billing period. Typically these are two different numbers, the second being one less. For example:
The billing period in the above image would mean the function limit would end of the 3rd and renew on the 4th of the month.
If you go onto the next tier at some point in your billing month, you would receive a pro-rated fee for the amount of days it was activated. As a note, this becomes an add-on subscription that needs to be deactivated if you no longer wish the allotment of 2million function requests.
As another side note, we tend to be fairly generous with forgiveness in billing – especially if you a hit a tier limit so late in a month and have no opportunity to even use the additional requests. If something like that happens, go ahead and write us in the Help Desk and we’ll take care of you.
