Hi Netlify Support Team, I am writing because I noticed an unusual and critical bandwidth spike on my account. My site is currently on a Legacy Free/Starter plan. In just the last 3 days, my bandwidth usage jumped to 97 GB out of my 100 GB monthly limit. This is a very low-traffic website with barely any regular visitors, so this sudden consumption is completely anomalous. I strongly suspect the site is being targeted by malicious bots, scrapers, or a DDoS attack. My billing cycle ends in 3 days, and I am deeply concerned that the site will hit the hard limit and shut down completely due to this non-human traffic. Could you please help me investigate this spike, check the traffic source, and mitigate any charges or site suspensions if this turns out to be automated/malicious traffic? Site name/API ID: venerable-buttercream-341107.netlify.app Thank you so much for your urgent help with this matter.
Update: I checked my Analytics/Billing report. The vast majority of the traffic is concentrated on two specific domains:
- ://grupolosdelabajura.com (approx. 45 GB)
- carritour.com (approx. 24 GB)
Both are very low-traffic sites, which confirms that these two domains are likely targets of a bot/scraper attack or an unusual automated traffic loop. Please help me look into the access logs for these two specific sites.
Update: My bandwidth has now reached 103 GB out of 100 GB due to this unexpected traffic spike, and my cycle doesn’t end until July 22nd.
As a legacy user, I am deeply concerned about the automatic $55 overage charge for traffic that appears to be entirely malicious bots/scrapers. Could a support engineer please look into my account logs, verify this anomalous automated traffic, and help me waive or prevent this overage fee? Thank you!
