Hello Netlify Support,
I am the owner of alessiaoertel.com, and I need help recovering my subdomain rehfeuter.alessiaoertel.com.
The subdomain has been hijacked and is currently serving a malicious website. My legitimate Netlify project is rehfeuter.netlify.app, and the underlying project/deployment is intact and accessible through its Netlify URL.
My DNS is managed through GoDaddy, and the DNS configuration currently contains:
CNAME rehfeuter → rehfeuter.netlify.app
I have verified ownership of the domain using the TXT record requested by Netlify. I also added the additional verified-for-netlify TXT record as instructed by the support chatbot.
However, when I attempt to add rehfeuter.alessiaoertel.com back to my legitimate rehfeuter project, Netlify reports:
“Another project is already using this domain. Domains must be unique across Netlify.”
I do not own or recognise the other project currently using this domain, and I did not authorise this domain to be associated with another Netlify project.
Please investigate the project currently claiming rehfeuter.alessiaoertel.com, release the domain from that project, and allow me to associate it with my legitimate rehfeuter project.
My details:
- Domain:
alessiaoertel.com - Affected subdomain:
rehfeuter.alessiaoertel.com - Legitimate Netlify project:
rehfeuter - Legitimate Netlify URL:
rehfeuter.netlify.app - GoDaddy is the DNS provider
- Netlify support info ID:
52f93ba6-3f51-4c0a-b4a0-d2b8fe02f342
This is an active security incident because the subdomain is currently serving malicious content. Please treat this as an urgent domain takeover and help me reclaim the subdomain.
Thank you.
